This past Sunday night we had a children’s church workers meeting to rework our calendar for the remainder of 2008. This was not one of those “pulling teeth kind of meetings”. There were no big egos in the room nor fragile feelings on the table. There was just a common goal of doing the best we can as a church to come alongside parents in their high calling of training their sons and daughters Biblically and theologically. There was an obvious readiness and willingness amongst our volunteer workers to serve our Lord by serving “the least of these”. How full of joy I felt to be in the company of those kind of Christians!
Let us take this seriously and go forth with all our hearts to successfully pass the baton of the faith to those who will run the race after our part is finished.
