Which ministry approach will prove to be wiser when we’re examined at the Bema by the One with eyes of fire??
The approach that views:
1.God as Holy, Righteous, Just, Glorious, and Worthy— or God as a cool dude and one who rocks?
2.The Bible as God-breathed and a sharp sword— or the Bible as success principles for my earthly portfolio?
3.Preaching as scripture exposition–or preaching as chicken soup anecdotes?
4.Jesus Christ as the Lord of Glory–or Jesus as my home boy and personal cheerleader?
5.The Church as in Acts 2:42– or the church as in Entertainment Tonight?
6.The pastor as preaching the Word– or the pastor as exciting the mob?
7.Church growth as God gives the increase–or church growth by pragmatism?
8.Music as biblical and pleasing to God–or music that tickles my innards?
9. Success as being faithful and “fighting hard for the faith once delivered”–or being creative and cutting edge so we can draw a crowd?
10.Evangelism as laying the sinner low with the law followed by lifting Christ high in all his saving power–or by hook or crook getting people to “say the prayer” and tallying up the “converts”?
“Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.”
1Cor.3:13
